PEDRO

In the same way that Gladiator was to be my trademark cuff I wanted Pedro to be my trademark chain. A chain that could be worn in many ways.  I wanted it to be versatile, refined, elegant and edgy. I envisioned it so that  each link can be opened to attach a pendant if one wishes to, and removed or added to lengthen or shorten to suit the mood or the outfit of the day. As I enjoy playing with contrasting shapes and finishes, each link has a thicker section and a thinner section with shiny and matte finishes.  

In most cases for my collections, the design and name are created in tandem. For this collection, the name Pedro came after the design. When the chain was  completed it made me think of the title of a Pedro Almodóvar’s movie ‘Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!’. How playful,  personal and sensual to have my chain bearing a man’s name I thought.
